Competitions
Competitions are an important part of your law degree. Not only do they help you develop the skills you will need for future career opportunities, they also get you involved with other law students and personalities from the legal community. They are a great way to gain knowledge of the practical skills that are a part of practicing law.
Isaacs runs both senior and junior competitions. During first semester, senior mooting, client interviewing, negotiation and witness examination competitions are held. Junior mooting, client interviewing and negotiation competitions are held during second semester. The winner of the senior competitions will be given the opportunity to represent the University of Canberra on a national level at the ALSA conference in July. Isaacs also hosts the annual Sir Harry Gibbs Constitutional Law Moot, a national mooting competition which attracts teams from around the country. If you have any questions about competitions, feel free to contact Ace Carne, our Competitions Director at competitions@isaacsls.com or Mitchell Wright at president@isaacsls.com. See the rest of the competitions page for more information: - Mooting - Client Interviewing - Negotiation - Witness Examination.
