First Year Negotiations
Registration opens this week!

A competitions information night will be held this Tuesday 26 February, 6.30 pm in the e-Court (Building 6, next to the administratin office)
Competition rounds will be held during week 5-7, with finals in week 10.

What is Negotiation?

Negotiation and dispute resolution is a fast growing area in the law, due to the high expense of litigation. If a compromise can be reached between the two parties, it is much cheaper, easier and a whole lot more time effective.

In this competition, each team is given both a common set of facts and a set of facts known only to them. Based on this information, teams have to negotiate on behalf of their clients and come to a satisfactory agreement, preferable acceptable to both clients.
